Across Europe, 1 in 3 women has experienced physical or sexual violence in her lifetime. Despite years of advocacy, the rates of violence remain alarmingly high, and the need for coordinated action has never been more urgent. Violence against women is not a private issue. It is a European problem, a societal crisis, and a violation of fundamental human rights.
On the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, the University Women of Europe (UWE) is bringing together experts, activists, and voices from across the continent to discuss solutions, share knowledge, and unite for stronger protection mechanisms in Europe.
